Viruses and Spyware Galore
I love my laptop. I love it so much that my wrists have worn the silver paint off the armrest. I've worn all the letters and textures off the keys. One key is even missing.
What I don't love is when my computer gets a freaking virus. No, not one virus, but two. And over two dozen spywares.
Yes, that happened a couple of days ago, despite antivirus and spyware programs. Bryan keeps saying that's what I get for going to Russian porn sites, but sheesh–I gave that up months ago.
So anyway, my computer has been at the shop, and I've been worried sick that I lost my manuscripts.
Good news–just got the laptop back, and my data is, for the most part, intact.
The computer guys installed AVP for me because they said the antivirus software I was using was crap (no shit,) so hopefully life will be back to normal now.
And yo–if you've recently visited one of those pirate book sites to check if one of your books is being pirated…RUN A SPYWARE CHECK. Immediately. And a virus check. Not that doing so helped me, but hey, it can't hurt!
Off to do some yardwork now. Joy.
