or are there more husbands out there who force their wives to watch cheesy 80's movies…constantly?
Last night's torture was Flash Gordon. Not sure what it was about that movie (besides the 80's hair, bad dialogue, and really bad costumes,) that made me wish Mystery Science Theater 3000 was still around, but yeah, they really, really need to get hold of that movie.

I’m the one who forces my husband to watch them. Flash Gordon was one of them.
No! Not the boar worms!

Hey, what’s wrong with Flash Gordon???
-
Oh, groan…not you too, Tori!!!
Steph, I’m not writing your book for you. Not unless you want your SEALs to be eaten by demons. Or sucked by vampires. Ah…forget I said that…

I’m down with Road House. People have to remember that Patrick Swayze was big back then.

Hey, You could do your own MST3000 on Flash Gordon (I haven’t seen it, so I don’t know how bad it is). I can relate about being forced to watch movies you didn’t chose.
P.S. So, Saturday…plans?

“Flash, i love you! But we only have 14 hours to save the world!”
yup, i too have witnessed that monstrosity. there was some serious over acting going on. don’t recall that much, but it did have some terrible quotes.

I’m with Meljean on this one. In our house I handle “entertainment” and my hubby handles “technology.” Somehow I got screwed, though, in having to be responsible for upgrading our DISH dish to HD…surely upgrading tecnology is “technology.”
But I digress. I watched my very first “late, late movie” with my husband one night while studying, and he created a monster. It might be a cheesey 80s movie, or something from the 30s, 40s, or 50s. Or I might drag out Cherry 2000 or She, two so-bad-they’re-good SF movies from the 70s. Those movies are too “young” to have made MST, but they were definitely bad enough.

Ayla, my husband is cracking up that so many people are quoting that movie!
Laurie, that’s funny!
