With Sven. Don't forget!
I didn't do so well this week. I came up short by about 1300 words on Shadow Lover. BUT I did write new scenes for the Seduced By The Stor revisions, so it wasn't as if I was goofing off. Plus, the work I did on Shadow Lover wasn't new scenes. I was cleaning up/fleshing what I already had, and that kind of writing is so much slower. But it was necessary. I'd reached a point in the story where forward motion was impossible because I'd lost my characters somewhere. Fleshing and shoring up emotions really helped. Hopefully, I can write a new scene or two this coming week.
How have y'all been doing?

Well, I think you sound as if you’re doing great! Even if you’re not totting up thousands and thousands of extra words, you’re still doing valuable writing work. I think I need to go back and do some of that shoring up in my WIP too. I often get to that situation where I can move forward because I need to go back and ‘find’ my characters again…

At least you wrote a new scene! Hang in there…I know it can be slow!

I’m not doing the Sven thing, but I’ve written at least one page per day for the past 86 days.

I came up short too but I was wrapping up a novella so there was a bit of editing, bit of deleting, etc. And this week I’m taking a mini vacation, no pressure, no major writing…
I’m sure you’ll rock it this week.

Portia — I just did that. It really helped!
Thanks, Heidi!
That’s awesome, Tori! Writing every day is what’s important.
Karen, have fun with your mini-vacation!
