I'd planned to blog about author trust today (as in, when readers don't trust an author to address in a future book something they started in a current book,) but I'll do that tomorrow. Mainly because as I sat down to post my author trust post, the massive pile of holiday catalogs that has come in a flood over the last week just slid off the coffee table and is scattered all over the floor.
Levenger, Signals, Made In Washington, Brookstone, Virginia Traditions, Mrs. Fields, The Popcorn Factory, The Wisconsin Cheeseman, Swiss Colony…aaaaaaaahhhhggghhhh!
And yet, I don't throw them away because maybe, just maybe, I'll find something cool in them. And since I've got about a million deadlines going on right now, I'm going to be doing a lot of internet/catalog shopping.
What about you? Internet/catalog shopping, or brave-the-malls this season?

Probably local shopping, although I might pick up a few things when I’m in W’burg next week, visiting friends.

I haven’t been deluged by catalogs yet.
Except Victoria’s Secret, who seems to send me like 5 a week.
So send me some catalogs, dammit!

I do not do malls. Not anymore. Been there, done that. Hated every second of it. Online shopping is the way to go.

Hey, Ann! Looking forward to seeing you!
Jaci, I WISH I got the Victoria’s Secret catalogs. But no, I get Wisconsin Cheeseman…
You know what’s funny, Tori? I actually love malls at Christmas. I just hate to SHOP. The lines at the registers make me insane!

I moved this year and the catalogs still found me. But like you, Larissa, I can’t toss them out until I’ve had a chance to look at them…just in case.

Natasha, that’s funny, because they followed me too!!!! I’m thinking that the police could take a lesson in finding people from the catalog companies!

I hate malls. I’m actually allergic to malls, especially at Christmas. To be more specific, I’m allergic to all those artificial scents that are supposed to put people in the Christmas spirit. So, it’s catalogs/internet for me.
I really don’t do much shopping, because my family doesn’t exchange gifts anymore. A few years ago, we decided that we all had too much stuff, so we do things instead of buying things. Besides doing things together as a family, we also help with local Thanksgiving and Christmas projects, like food box distributions. And it takes the Salvation Army 3-4 weeks to get the toys ready to distribute, so I usually help a few afternoons with that.
