Years ago, when I started writing seriously (as in, for publication,) Alison Kent took me under her wing. She gave advice, crits, and support–and she never ONCE treated me like I would never get published. I never felt like there was a published/unpublished barrier between us.

I owe her a lot, and will forever be grateful to her.
