The spam fight goes on, but I've moved it to the back burner because I have more important things to do, so what I'm doing is turning on comments during the day, and turning them off at night. The spamscum seem to come out at night, like mosquitos. Bloodsucking bastards.
So until I add a plugin that turns off comments to old posts, I'm just going to have to deal.
In the meantime, I have three pressing projects:
1. Galleys for Wet Dreams.
2. 150 pages to write on my first Demon ER book.
3. Revisions for Sydney book 2, which is currently being renamed. Steph and I have been calling it Unleashing The Beast, which fits really, really well. But Bantam doesn't like "the Beast," so we're struggling to come up with something before Monday. Title ideas welcome. In fact, if your idea is one we submit to the editor, I'll make sure you get a copy of Syd book 2. So suggest away…we're trying to keep the titles of the first three books sounding the same…Riding The Storm, Unleashing The Beast, Touching The Darkness…so "something the something," is what we're going for. The book is erotic, paranormal but not in the conventional way…more of a superhero/X-Man way. Hero and heroine are beast-ish.
Okay, I think that's it for today. BTW, stay tuned for some book giveaways coming up at the beginning of March. I'll be giving away copies of some of my fellow Warner authors' books!

I have to second that Akismet works great for me. A few have been slipping through to moderation. Spam seems to have achieved a few workarounds that are taking a toll on Akismet’s effectiveness, though.

I agree with you, Amie and Jean!
Askismet cut the spam that makes it through to the moderation panel considerably. But a ton were still getting through. Because I’m a moron and hadn’t turned off comments on old posts. So I just now installed a plugin that does that, and so far, so good! YAY!!!!!!
Charlene, I kinda like Loosing The Wild…

Challenging the…something. I liked Challenging but couldn’t think of a good noun.
And how much longer until we can read the first one? *tiny pout*

LMAO, May! I thought it would be funny to suggest “animal” in place of beast. Well, I thought it would be funny if STEPH suggested it…
Angie, that’s my big problem…coming up with a good noun. Sigh. I LOVE “Taming” though! As for the first book, darn it, not until September, but I might be persuaded to give up some ARCs soon…
Maria! I like “boundaries!” And I agree with Amie, Tasting the Fire is a great title.
Amie…blurb…well, there’s a good guy agency and a bad guy agency, and the hero, an ex-Delta, has been charged with bringing the heroine, a powerful psychic, into the good agency before the bad guys get her. They are on the run and they have lots and lots of sex.
Maureen, I love Starting The Fire!

I wanna change my vote. I think Taken by Storm would be great–and have the “Storm” tie in to the other book.
