I'm not superstitious. At all.
But yesterday, I was in my office (in the basement,) happily plugging away on one of my WIPs. Then, a noise interrupted me. Someone knocking on the door.
Now, I usually don't answer the door during the day, because it never fails…it's some religious group trying to convert me to their cause. Worse, it might be someone trying to sell me magazines I don't need.
So I ignore the knocking, but whoever it was, they wouldn't stop.
Grumbling to myself, I gave in and tromped up the stairs. Knock, knock, knock. Geez, can we say, impatient?
I look out the window, and there's no one there. But the knocking continues. I look down, and there, at the base of the door, is a giant-ass crow, and he's knocking on the door. He saw me and, with a creep caw, he took off.
Now, I'm not superstitious. But yeah…I'm thinking that a crow knocking on your door can't be a good omen…
Just call me Poe…

Maybe it was a Je-crow-vah’s Witness and you scared him off. Were there any tracts on your doorstep? (I know. I’m going to hell….)

Sharon, now you’re making me nervous!
Steph, you so want to come see my crows. They’re sitting outside, calling for you…
Emma–isn’t it???? I THINK it was trying to eat a bug. I hope.
LOL, Angie! “I’m going to hell…” Don’t worry, my demons will show you around!

Maybe he was practicing his “trick or treat.” *rofl* Crows aren’t bad omens. That’s all racist Hollywood propaganda.
-
It’s really bizarre…I don’t like crows. I’m an animal lover, but there are two species I really can’t stand: hyenas and crows. *shudder*
LOL, Estella!
Charlene!
Tempest, those crows aren’t getting any treats here! LOL! And actually, Hollywood might have made the propaganda worse, but ravens have been thought to be harbingers of death since the middle ages…and probably before. People believed that if a crow landed on your roof or at your door, well, ack! Crows are scary…
