I forgot how much of a pain it is to come up with content for a website. Not that I'm complaining, mind you, but ugh. The good news is that Bekke has finalized the main design, and OMG, it's awesome. I just love it. It'll be a HUGE change from what I have now.
And Steph and I have been tossing around ideas for our Sydney Croft website…so far we can't even get a placeholder idea together. Her fault.
I got an Amazon shipment the other day — honestly, I can't figure out how Amazon only accounts for such a small percentage of book sales, because I buy almost all my books from them. I put all my blog buddies' and friends' books in my cart and then purchase when I get enough in there for free shipping. Doesn't take long, because I buy pretty much every book that comes out from the people on my blogroll. I mean, hey–I lost all my books in Katrina, so I need to restock, right?
Yeah, the movers are going to hate me when we have to transfer in three years. I can collect a LOT of books in that amount of time!

Now you’ve got our interest peaked, I am sure I am not alone in now being very curious to see your new site. When will it be up?

Toni, I’m HOPING to launch my new website sometime in October…I really want to launch it with the cover of my Secrets volume, so I have to wait to get the cover. Hoping we’ll be able to see it soon. I might do a Halloween launch with a contest…
Cathy, I’ve read some ebooks, but I usually stick with paperback, only because they are easier on my eyes. I also wait for ebooks to go to print to buy them for that reason!

Glad to know I’m not single-handedly keeping Amazon in business. I thought it was just me. (I thought maybe them maintaining the website just for me was a little far-fetched).
I didn’t lose all my books, and I keep buying them. I have the dubious distinction of the packing material estimaters never sending enough book cartons when I have to move. Which, of course, when the packers are there (don’t mention the packing nightmare when I left Yorktown — it was the worst experience ever in moving, but, amazingly, it turned out ok), means they run out of book cartons. 60 was not enough on my last move, and I’ve added another 30-40 boxes worth in just the year I’ve been here (I’m storing about 20 cartons of hubby’s books — I have more room here).
I print my e-books out for reading. Unfortunately, a couple years ago I bought two books I’d like to read that can’t be printed, so I have to figure out how to read them electronically without going completely insane.
