From the July issue of Ladies' Home Journal, an interview with Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York:
"I've just signed a deal with St. Martin's Press to write a historical novel–the next Gone With the Wind. I sold it without one chapter written! It's all in my head. my heroine is Lady Margaret, with red hair, and it takes place in the south of Ireland in 1759. I am Lady Margaret at the end of the day. It will be Pride and Prejudice meets 24!"
Dang it, I want to sell my books without one chapter written!

I think I wrote about 60,000 words to sell to St. Martin’s. All because I failed to marry royalty.

LOL! I think you have to become famous first and THEN you can sell without writing a single word.

Duchess? Hell I want to be Empress!! (I assume publisher come crawling to Empresses with bags of moola, and just beg them to write! Write anything for them!! No? Don’t wanna write? Well here’s some money anyways for disburbing your royal presence…. )

Grrrrrr…announcements like that just BURN me up! Do you suppose she can even read? Don’t duchesses (plural: duchi?) have people on staff for mundane tasks like that?

Sasha, Jaq definitely has a great way of looking at it!
Amy, I’m with you.
Randy, maybe when we’re famous, we can get people to read for us, too!
