A year or so ago, I blogged about one of my New Year's traditions. I have very few, but this one was important: Every January 2nd, I'd buy a bottle of champagne. I'd label it my "Call Bottle." I'd store it away and save it for the day I'd get "The Call." When it didn't happen that particular year, I'd drink it on New Year's Eve and start over again on January 2nd.
Last year, as you all know, my house and everything in it was destroyed by hurricane Katrina. That means I lost my Call Bottle, too. I didn't bother to buy one this year, because it just seemed like it was a much too optimistic wish after such a hard year.
I wish I'd bought one!
Monday night, I got a call from Red Sage, and the editor told me they wanted to buy the erotic romance novella submission I sent them for their Secrets line! :shock::mrgreen::smile::grin::cool:
I'm SO excited, and hopefully this is the first step on the path to a real writing career! :mrgreen:
