Well, I started dieting right after the New Year, and yay me…I've lost 2 pounds. And what's so great is that I have all this lovely support from my family.
Including my cat.
Last night I felt the need to cheat. I was having a serious pizza craving. So I bought one of those brick oven thin crust Freschetta pizzas and added extra cheese before cooking it to bubbling, crispy perfection. Mmmm…it smelled so good when I took it out of the oven…I knew I would eat the whole thing and spoil all the good work I've done on my diet.
I left it on the counter to cool, and sat down with a movie. A few minutes later I heard an odd noise, so I went into the kitchen, and there was my diabetic kitty sitting on the counter beside the pizza. It was clear she was supporting my effort to diet, because she'd nibbled on it, and then, in a carb-induced fit of illness…
SHE PUKED ON THE PIZZA.
I. Was. So. Annoyed. Frothy cat puke splattered all over my beautiful pizza.
But hey, the peanut butter and jelly sandwich sure was tasty.

Shame on you for making me laugh out loud here in Dilbertville.
Congrats on your success, and keep up the good work.

Oh, man. Glad you didn’t give into the urge and eat the pizza anyway.

Thanks, Jean! Glad you got a laugh, too!
Sasha, I’m sure kitty was just trying to help. And I helped her right off the counter!
Michelle, will it gross you out to know that I was tempted?

*snorts* Love it!
I would like to lose somewhere between 4 and 12 lbs (my scale SUCKS), but mostly, I want to get in shape. When you’re really muscular, it doesn’t show, but you can eat ANYTHING. And I don’t get sick hardly at all then, and I have more energy and feel better and happier. Also, I want to look better naked than in clothes again. *gggggg*
The most I have EVER lost in a single week (other than giving birth) is 1.5lbs. And that was when I was eating only two VERY small meals a day and walking at least five miles a day around Europe, often carrying a heavy backpack. And a lot of that was actually muscle since I wasn’t weightlifting then. My body truly hates losing weight. And when I gain it, at least half goes into each cheek, so I look like a hamster saving seeds for the winter. *g* I want my cheekbones back!!!!!!!
