You do know that Halloween kicks off the holiday season, right? You do know that it's perfectly acceptable to put up your Christmas tree the day after Halloween, don't you?
So who has their tree up? *raises hand* Huh? Huh? Who besides me?
Who else has been buying eggnog? And making Tom and Jerry mix? And setting the clock to play Christmas tunes at the top of every hour?
All together now…"YAY for Christmas!!!!!!!
'Tis the season to be jolly, fa la la la la, la la la laaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
(Need some Christmas smilies….)

Yikes! We don’t do that until at least after Thanksgiving.

Dear Lord - it didn’t start this early last year, did it?
It couldn’t have - I would’ve remembered. Maybe I blocked it all out…*runs to hide with Emma*
(…if she gets Christmas smilies, they’ll be no stopping her)

I wanna know what Tom and Jerry mix is, too.
I still have my Halloween decorations up. I’ll keep those up for a few more weeks and then get out Christmas. And since it’s all kept in my closet I won’t get in there easily until the new year.
Ho Ho Ho!

*grumbles something about all the grinches*
Tom and Jerry mix is actually a batter you make–it’s got spices and ice cream and a bunch of stuff–and you keep it in the fridge. When you want a hot Tom and Jerry, you scoop some out into a mug, add boiling water and rum, and voila! Hot Tom and Jerry!
I’ll have to post the recipe as Christmas gets closer. I wouldn’t want to traumatize the grinches!

RUM! I knew there had to be alcohol involved somewhere. *g* We’ve found the truth, folks: She loves Christmas because it gives her a chance to be a lush. *g*

I’m looking for a recipe for Tom & Jerry batter that calls for ice cream and does not use eggs. Can you help?
