I LOVE Winter…er…Summer?
So I'm sitting on my couch in sweats and slippers, getting warm in front of a blazing fire while drinking hot cocoa. Outside it's in the low fifties, overcast, and drizzling.
Gotta love summer in Wisconsin.
Lest you think I'm being sarcastic…I'm not! I love this! After three HOT summers in Virginia and no real winters, this is heaven! Oh, it'll warm up outside, and that's fine too, but right now, I'm just really, really loving this weather!
How's YOUR weather?

If You Have a Cat…
Please check out this post. It's heartbreaking, but an important warning about Hartz flea products. I will NEVER buy a Hartz product again.
Hugs to everyone who has had to watch their pets suffer.

Ecstasy Unveiled is…Unveiled!

Lore is a Seminus half-breed demon who has been forced to act as his dark master’s assassin. Now to earn his freedom and save his sister’s life, he must complete one last kill. Powerful and ruthless, he’ll stop at nothing to carry out this deadly mission.
Idess is an earthbound angel with a wild side sworn to protect the human Lore is targeting. She’s determined to thwart her wickedly handsome adversary by any means necessary—even if that means risking her vow of eternal chastity. But what begins as a simple seduction soon turns into a passion that leaves both angel and demon craving complete surrender.
Torn between duty and desire, Lore and Idess must join forces as they battle their attraction for each other. Because an enemy from the past is rising again—hellbent on vengeance and unthinkable destruction.
Woo hoo! Whatcha think? Is that cover hot, or what? :)

We’re Moved!
We're here! Seems like it took forever to make the move from Virginia to Wisconsin, but we're finally here, and I have internet again! :)
The new house is gorgeous! My hubby bought it without me ever seeing it, but I have to say, he couldn't have done better. We're in a fabulous location, great neighborhood, and the house itself is just amazing.
Of course, now we have all the unpacking. We're mostly unpacked, but all that means is that stuff is out of boxes. Now it needs to be arranged. The basement is going to be a work-in-progress as we turn it from unfinished to finished.
So anyway, we're here and I'm working on edits for Ecstasy Unveiled, which I'll turn in tomorrow, and then I'll spend the weekend cleaning and setting up the house. Monday I'll start on Demonica book 5 and revisions to Sydney book 5.
Ooh, but speaking of Ecstasy Unveiled…I got back cover copy — and a cover! *g* I'm hoping to be able to show them off soon. But let me just say…YUM! I'm so very happy with Grand Central Publishing's art department!
Hope you have all had a wonderful couple of weeks! I'm off to get to work!

On The Move!
Well, the packers come today, internet is off, and we're heading for Wisconsin (from Virginia) on Saturday. I should be back online around mid-to-late June. I don't like moving — the actual move itself — but once we're in Wisconsin at our new house, I won't mind that part. Unpacking has always been kind of fun.
Also, I wanted to let you know that some very lovely people have started a Larissa Ione/Sydney Croft/Stephanie Tyler fan forum! It officially launches on June 9, but you can sign up anytime. Steph and I will make every effort to stop by regularly, and it all looks really fun! I hope to see you there!
Have a wonderful June, everyone!

Saying Goodbye
Well, we're really down to the wire now. I know I've said I hate moving, but it isn't just the actual move — it's saying goodbye to friends. Yes, I'll see them again, but long distance makes it harder.
So Wednesday and Thursday I got to hang out with my friend, Karen, who, if you've read my bio, is the reason I'm writing romance in the first place. And I'm the reason she's a Trekkie. *g* Saying goodbye to her was hard, but we've been friends for 19 years and have gone through several moves over the years (she's married to the military too,) so really, we're used to this.
Friday I went to lunch with Michelle Willingham, Ann Martin, and Mechele Armstrong. Michelle and I have been dinner buddies since I moved here three years ago, and she's just awesome. I'm SO going to miss our time together. In this business, when you find someone you click with and trust, you treasure them. (She also brought me candy bars — my favorite ones, and I ate them in two days…)
I met Ann when she came to my very first book signing, and she's been a wonderful lunch buddy and book store haunter. :) We had fun being roomies at RT too! She's an extremely generous person, and I'll miss her. (Ooh, and she brought me a Burger Kind Star Trek glass!!!! OMG, I was so excited…)
Mechele…unfortunately, I met her fairly late in my time here, but she's such a nice person! I just love her and wish we could have seen more of each other.
Then last night my longtime friends, Warren and Karen, and their daughter Lauren, came up for a barbecue. We've been friends since we all lived in Astoria, Oregon, which was 13 years ago. Karen and I are a bit like Lucy and Ethel (you should have seen us on our trip to England!) and it's been so nice to finally have been close enough again that we could spend time together. They'll be transferring in two years, and so will we, so you never know — the Coast Guard might stick us together again.
So anyway, goodbye sucks. But at least I know that these are people I WILL see again, either because they are practically family, or because they are friends and colleagues who will be attending the same conferences I will.
Most excellent. :)
Okay, off to do more move stuff! Happy Monday!

New Excerpt Up!
Taking a break from move stuff to do a little work on my website before my internet shuts off next week (I'm going to suffer serious withdrawals,) and wanted to let anyone who is interested know that I've just posted an excerpt for my short story, Eternity Embraced, which will appear in the Mammoth Book of Vampire Romance 2.
So anyway, it's up! Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!
