Hi everyone!
Well, I finished the first draft of Sin Undone (Demonica book 5 — tentative title) and sent it to my editor, so I've been spending the last two days trying to catch up on everything I've neglected over the last month. One of those things is updating my website. I've got new tats and pics to put up on the reader page, and a never cover to post (see Tempting the Fire in the post below) on the books page, but I did get the Mammoth Book of Special Ops page done! And there's an excerpt!
The story, Code Word: Storm, is a Sydney Croft story, set in the ACRO world and starring the subplot couple who play large roles over the course of the six books. In the ACRO timeline, CW:S takes place between Riding The Storm (book 1) and Unleashing The Storm (book 2). So be sure to check it out!
Also, in the LIST forum (Larissa Ione Stephanie Tyler fan forum,) there are two contests going on! One is to win copies of Stephanie's new romantic suspense books, plus Ecstasy Unveiled! The other contest is a naming contest for a character in the sixth Sydney Croft novel. (Check out the top two threads in the "Competition & Swap/Help With Books section" down the page.)
So if you aren't a member of the forum, now's the time to join! Steph and I pop in now and then to chat with readers and post excerpts and behind-the-scenes peeks at our books, so we'd love to see you there!
Okay, off to work on a proposal, and then do some fun housecleaning!

Today is release day for the fourth Sydney Croft novel, Taming The Fire!
Here is the blurb:
POWER. PLEASURE. DANGER. IT DOESN’T GET ANY HOTTER THAN THIS.
He came to the underground London club for a night of extreme sex play with the enigmatic “Mistress Rik”. But the Special Agent known as Trance is really on a search-and-rescue mission to keep her alive. Part predator, Ulrika “Rik” Jaegar possesses feral powers that make her a danger to others–and to herself. That’s why the Agency for Covert Rare Operatives (ACRO) wants to recruit her to their side….To do so, Trance will have to pull off the impossible: capture and control Rik, both woman and beast.
On the run from the deadly agency that changed her into a pleasure-seeking shape shifter, Rik uses sex to rein in her own raging desires. Operating on pure instinct, she trusts no one…especially the magnificent alpha male with the power to seduce her into submission. An undercover agent with unique hypnotic gifts, Trance is surprised by his instinct to hold Rik and keep her safe — but he has a job to do. And as he hunts her down, as Rik and Trance are thrust into the ultimate game of domination and submission, they’ll enter a place where surrender is their sole hope of survival — and the only thing that can tame the wild beast in both of them…
If you like emotional, erotic stories with a strong BDSM theme, you just might like this one!

Just wanted to thank everyone who entered the contest yesterday!
The signing went well…got to catch up with Michelle and Marliss, and Ann showed up to keep us company too!
Today I'm finishing up the 5th Croft book to turn in tomorrow, and then I need to concentrate on the Mammoth book story and a proposal for the 6th Croft book. I'm SO excited to begin the final book in the ACRO world. We've got a very special story planned, one that ties everything together and is full of surprises. It's going to be a lot of fun.
I should have revisions coming soon for the 4th Demonica book too, and though I don't normally look forward to revisions, I have to say that my editor is just brilliant, and her suggestions always energize me and help steer me in directions I might not have seen before. Plus, I really enjoy the Demonica world, so diving back in is always fun.
Speaking of diving in, I need to get back to it. Have a nice weekend, everyone!

So Stephanie and I got fabulous news from Bantam Dell yesterday — Seduced By The Storm, which has only been out a month, is going back to a second printing! Woot! Thank you so much to everyone who has bought the Sydney Croft novels…this is just a dream!
Also, getting ready to head out on vacation! It'll just be a couple of nights, but it should be fun. We're meeting up with Stephanie and her family in the Outer Banks, NC, for a couple of days at the beach. I'm taking boxes of Sydney Croft books with me to make her sign. All of them. I figure she's going to have some nice hand cramps by the time she's done.
Still working on revisions to Wraith's book. The good news is that I'm about 2/3rds done. The bad news is that I still want to beat that boy. Of course, he might like that. Grr.
Okay, off to work. Hope your week is going well!

PLEASURE COMES IN THREES…
Inspired by the sultry heat and sensual ambiance of New Orleans, this steamy collection delves into the erotic underground of the Big Easy. Here is a tantalizing trio of stories by three rising stars that will tease your imagination—and seduce your senses.
Lush, haunting, and provocative, New Orleans has something to satisfy every desire—as three very lucky women are about to discover.
In “Shadow Play,” by Sydney Croft, an ex-supermodel desperate to revive her career seeks the help of a gorgeous, reclusive photographer with a special gift—and offers him anything he wants in return. The result is a series of erotic positions captured on film—along with a mind-blowing physical connection neither expected…
In “The Art of Desire,” by Eden Bradley, a sheltered young woman turned on by the idea of getting tattooed dares to make her fantasy a reality. But as her arousing sessions with a dangerously handsome tattoo artist move from the tattoo parlor to the bedroom, they make an impression that’s more than skin deep…
And in “Night Vision,” by Stephanie Tyler, when artist Catie Lanford hires professional cooler Bat Kelly to whip the failing bar she’s recently inherited into shape, she’s not looking for a lover—until she lays eyes on the sexy wild man. Soon they’ve agreed to mix business with pleasure, and Catie discovers that Bat is just what she needs to set her artist’s imagination—and her body—on fire.
"The title says it all in this deliciously erotic anthology by stars of the genre." — FRESH FICTION
YAY! HOT NIGHTS, DARK DESIRES is out TODAY! And just FYI for those who have been reading the ACRO series, the Sydney Croft story, Shadow Play, ties in very loosely with the single title books. The hero, Hex, is an ACRO agent, so yes, the story is just a bit paranormal-y!

Over at Eden's blog today! :)
Eden Bradley, my anthology mate for Sydney Croft's Shadow Play (along with Stephanie Tyler,) is chatting about tattoos this month, because her story in Hot Nights, Dark Desires, is about a tattoo artist and a heroine who finds the ultimate satisfaction with him (and with the fantasy of getting a tattoo.)
So Steph and I are over there talking about our own tattoos, and how tattoos often play roles in our own stories.
Come join us and tell us about yours! *g*
Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!!!

Yay! Just got official word that the title of the fourth Sydney Croft novel is TAMING THE FIRE. Steph and I started work on it today, and I'm really excited. It's going to be a fun one — pretty extreme, and with our first shapeshifter character. My Demonica books are populated by shapeshifters, but in the Croft world, they're harder to come by, mainly because they don't exist as normal paranormal creatures. (Heh–normal paranormal.) Ours had to be lab-created, and she's just not real happy about it. *g*
So anyway, no official release date for said book, but we're probably looking at late Spring 2009.
Off to write!
