I did good this week — 12,665 words! Now I just need to keep up this pace if I want to finish the rough draft of my third demon book. Don't know if that's possible, because I just got revisions back for my second book, so a lot of my writing time is going to be pulled away to work on that. Still, if I can come even close to finishing the third book, I'll be happy.

I did okay, considering I was sick for most of the week. Almost 4K words, but I did spend a lot of time plotting and researching. My third demon book is set mainly in Egypt, so I've had to do TONS of research, not only on modern-day Egyptian settings, but on mythology behind some of the places my hero and heroine go, as well as research into the ancient people associated with those places.

So, um, if anyone out there has taken a trip to Alexandria or Aswan or has ridden the sleeping train that runs between those two cities, I could really, really use your help… *g*

Okay, all you writers. Ready to sweat?

Because Sven is dusting off his weights, whips, and various other bits of, um, motivational equipment.

The new 70-day challenge starts on March 1st, but it's technically going 77 days (building in an extra 7 days for those who are going to RT in April.)

I'm participating…and this one will be interesting. The fourth Sydney Croft book is due in May, so it needs to be written during the challenge. But I'm also going to write as much of my 3rd Demonica book as possible during the challenge. I'm hoping to get between 500 and 1000 words a day on Wraith's book (Wraith is my extremely troubled half-vampire, half-demon hero in book 3,) while at the same time working on The Taming (Syd book 4.) It's not going to be easy, but one of the benefits of writing with a partner is that while she's writing on the Croft book, I can be working on my own project. Thing is, Stephanie is FAST. So I don't usually have that much time to play with my own stuff. She can easily write a scene twice as fast as I can. I so envy her!
