Ever have one of those days where you just need to procrastinate? Yeah, I'm having one of those days. I need to be writing a book, *looks around for editor* but I'm kind of getting flooded with emails from awesome readers who all have similar questions.
So, in an effort to both procrastinate AND answer questions, I've done an FAQ post that I can point people to and hopefully answer the most common questions. I should put them in the FAQ section of my website, but that would make too much sense.
Actually, I'll do that soon, when I get a chance to update my website. In the meantime…

~FAQ #1: Is Sin Undone the last book in the Demonica series?
~ANSWER: Erm…well…sort of. See, here's the deal: The Lords of Deliverance series, which starts with Eternal Rider in April 2011, is set in the Demonica world and features a lot of the main characters. You WILL see the old characters, many of whom play large roles, so you'll be caught up on who gets pregnant, gets mated, etc. Basically, the Lords of Deliverance is a continuation of the Demonica series, even though it features new players. I do plan a Demonica novella that'll release in September 2011 in an anthology with Alexandra Ivy, GA Aiken, and Jacquelyn Frank, and then I would really like to do a book for Reaver and MAYBE books for the Sem kids. The possibility for more Demonica books truly rests with how good my sales are and if the publisher wants more of them.
~FAQ #2: Will the Demonica series be released in audio book format?
~ANSWER: Yes! They are all now available.
~FAQ #3: Will you release your books (print or ebook) in other countries?
~ANSWER: Well, the long, complicated answer is…the rights have to be bought by publishers/bookstores in various countries. However, translations will soon be available in several countries, including Turkey, Germany, France, Spain, Japan, and Thailand. Also, in the UK and her Commonwealth countries, both print and ebooks will become available throughout the year.
~FAQ #4: Will you make your series into movies?
~ANSWER: OMG, I would LOVE that! Unfortunately, I have no control. The film rights have to be bought by a Hollywood-type. But fingers crossed that it happens!
~FAQ #5: Will Tayla and Eidolon ever get pregnant?
~ANSWER: You'll get some baby news about several couples in Eternal Rider!

Okay, that's all I can think of for now, but I hope these help answer questions!
I have some really, really exciting news that will make a lot of overseas readers happy.
I just learned that the Demonica and Lords of Deliverance series will be released as their own editions in the UK and her Commonwealth countries! That means new covers, better availability…AND same day Kindle releases. So everyone who has had trouble getting my books on Kindle in those countries will now be able to get them.
Here's the release schedule:
Eternal Rider, April 2011
Sin Undone, July 2011
Pleasure Unbound, August 2011
Desire Unchained, September 2011
Passion Unleashed, October 2011
Ecstasy Unveiled, December 2011
Immortal Rider, December 2011 (title subject to change)
So anyway, that's the news! I'll post covers when I get them!
First, I have to say that my 13 year-old son is looking over my shoulder and is all disturbed because I "spelled super secret wrong, and how can you be a good author?" Yeah, well, I also make him open his own cans of ravioli, so how can I be a good mom?
*makes shooing motion at kid*
Okay, so. A while ago, my Demonica short story, Eternity Embraced, released in a couple of anthologies: The Mammoth Book of Vampire Romance 2 and Vampires in Love (a Barnes & Noble exclusive.)
Anyway, because of word limits, I wasn't able to really do as much with the story as I wanted to, so…I'm expanding it and adding content, and I'll be releasing it in Kindle and Nook formats at Amazon and Barnes & Noble! I'm hoping to release it in November.
For those who haven't read it, the story is about two Aegis Guardians, Andrea and Kaden (he was briefly in Sin Undone, but how he got there will be explained in the expanded version of his story.)
So that's the news. Hopefully it'll help break up the time between the releases of Sin Undone and Eternal Rider!
And…here's the cover. Isn't it gorgeous! And don't forget to check out the artist's Zazzle store — she has put some amazing Demonica products!
ETERNITY EMBRACED
Desire…
Demon slayer Andrea Cole has always taken down the demons and vampires she hunts without mercy. But when a fellow slayer is captured and turned into a vampire by a sadistic monster, she must choose between loyalty to her family and the man she loves.
Versus Instinct…
Kaden Quinn has dedicated his life to slaying vampires, so when he is turned into one, his greatest nightmare comes to life. And when the woman he loves is thrown into a dungeon with him — as food — he must battle new instincts and old desires, and choose between his life, and hers.
Got the exciting news that Sin Undone has hit the major lists for the second week in a row!
#65 on the USA TODAY bestseller list, and #28 on the NEW YORK TIMES!!!!
And late last week, I learned that Sin's book hit the Publisher's Weekly bestseller list at #6 and Barnes & Noble mass market list at #8! That demon has stomped all over her brothers! Heh.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to all my awesome readers!!!!
Okay, before I announce the winner of KT Grant's contest, I have two announcements:
1. If you happen to be in the Green Bay area on September 7th, I'm going to be there to sign books. I'd love to see you there! Click here for more information!
2. Okay…still hyperventilating over this, but I'm SO excited to announce that thanks to all my awesome readers, Sin Undone has hit #24 on the USA TODAY bestseller list, AND #7 on the NEW YORK TIMES!!!!!!!!! Holy cow!!!! Thank you to everyone who has supported this series. You rock!!!!!
Now, the winner of the KT Grant contest is: Colleen #11! Colleen, if you could email me and let me know your choice of ebook format, I'll get it to you. Congrats!
Also, don't forget that all over the blogosphere, there are chances for you to win copies of Sin Undone and other books! Be sure to visit the various blogs!
Yay!!!! It's official Release Day! Now, I say "official" because, well, it's official. But some stores put it out a week ago, and some seem to be holding off until Sept. 1. The ebook and audio book are also scheduled for Sept. 1, though again, I've had scattered reports of people finding Sin on their Nooks today.
Now, the original release date for Sin Undone was Sept. 1, but it was moved a couple of months ago, so I think release dates got kind of blurred. In any case, most people should be able to find it on shelves today. Me? I'm going out (with my broken arm) and signing stock at Target, Wal-Mart, and my local book store.
I also want to give a shout out to another demon author, Kresley Cole, whose 8th IAD book, Demon From The Dark, releases today. Yay for hot demon smexing! :)
I'm getting excited! Only twenty more days until Sin Undone releases, and I got an awesome review from Romantic Times:
"Fans of the Demonica series finally get their wish! It’s time for Sin, a seminus demon with a wicked mouth, a nasty profession, a hidden heart of gold and a need for … well, sex, to get her story. She finally meets her match and it’s a wicked ride. Tense, sexy and touching, only Ione can blend such feelings into a comprehensive and complicated story. There’s a lot going on here but Ione pulls it off, giving readers another truly great read." — 4 1/2 Stars!
In other news, I'm still working on revisions to Eternal Rider…I'm getting SO close. Right now the major stuff is done and I just need to go through and fix all the Swiss cheese holes and do some layering. I'm hoping to be able to get it to my editor on Friday afternoon.
Haven't had time for reading, but I've got a gob of books just waiting for me as treats…the new Cynthia Eden, Gena Showalter, Elisabeth Naughton, Amy Knupp…yeah, I have some heavy-duty reading to do coming up, not to mention snapping up the upcoming new releases from Kresley Cole, Ann Aguirre, Lara Adrian, Jaci Burton, Shiloh Walker…man, I just hope I can find time to write! *g*
What about you? What book are you loving right now?
You did it! I've been begging for votes for weeks, and you guys never got tired or annoyed…at least, you didn't show it! And you voted for Ecstasy Unveiled and got me through each round of the DABWAHA tournament.
Then, tonight…you got Lore to take the whole thing!
You. Are. Awesome!
THANK YOU!!!!!!! I seriously have the best friends and readers!!!
Virtual cake and champagne all around!
(And since virtual isn't a whole lot of fun, I'll have to have a real celebration soon…once I get past this deadline. We'll have a real blog party!)
To celebrate the first anniversary of International Heat, we've set up a Global Warming blog tour and invited some friends to join the party. And what sort of party would it be if we didn't have prizes?

“I’m not going home with you.”
“We’ll talk about it while I’m patching you up.” Con jerked his thumb toward the back. “Go.”
Grudgingly, Sin climbed between the front seats and ducked through the hatch-like door separating the cab from the box section of the ambulance. A dull red light illuminated the space, and the same Haven spell symbols from UG were scrawled on the walls, but other than that, it could have been a human ambulance.
Her leg throbbed as she worked her way down the narrow isle between the bench seat and the stretcher, but that wound wasn’t nearly as bad as the pain spreading through her arm. She didn’t have to look to know a large gash had split her dermoire across her biceps. The pain had struck suddenly, but she’d borne it in silence, the way she always did. As an assassin, she never gave her victims the luxury of a scream, so she figured she didn’t deserve one any more than they did.
She didn’t deserve for the gash to be treated, either. She’d allow Con to mend her leg, but her arm was off limits.
Con jerked black rubber shades down from rollers over each window. Every sliver of outside light was snuffed, obviously a necessity when transporting vamps and other light-sensitive demons during the day. “Take off your pants.”
“Wow. Not one for foreplay, are you?”
He turned to her with lethal grace despite the limitations of the cramped compartment. “I spend hours on foreplay,” he said, his voice a slow, sexy drawl. “What about you?”
Heat flooded her face. Somehow, he knew the answer, knew she’d never engaged in foreplay in her life. For her, sex was fast food, not gourmet cuisine.
“Foreplay is overrated.” The gash in her arm screamed with pain as she shed her pants and hopped up on the stretcher. She left her thigh and ankle holsters in place, though, because they weren’t going anywhere.
“Then you’re not doing it right.” Con snapped on some surgical gloves, somehow making the sound and the action erotic. “You’ve had shitty lovers.”
“You were one of my lovers,” she pointed out, but he didn’t take the bait.
“Once. And there is something to be said for a hard, fast fuck.” His voice became a mesmerizing purr. “But there’s nothing like taking the time to slowly peel off every article of clothing, to kiss every inch of your lover’s skin as you do it. To lick all the sensitive places until they quiver. To explore all the textures of your partner’s body with your fingers, your mouth.” His fangs flashed as he added, “Your teeth.”
Hunger gripped her so fiercely she had to struggle to breathe. Yet somehow, she managed to speak calmly, as if Con’s graphic words hadn’t affected her. “The end result is the same. An orgasm. So why waste all that time? In the hour it takes you to lick someone from head to toe—” God, seriously? Want. “—I could have had half a dozen orgasms.” Assuming she was with some fictional male who could come that many times too — or a Seminus demon, whose ejaculate left females climaxing over and over, even if he left the room.
“Trust me,” he murmured, “the wait is worth it. You’ll get all those, but they’ll be better. Hotter. A-fucking-mazing.”
Sin went utterly wet and achy. Even if her succubus needs weren’t creeping up on her, Con would have jumpstarted things.
“Put pressure on your laceration.” The abrupt change of tone and subject made her blink, but he turned away to paw through the glass-faced cabinets and toss supplies next to her on the gurney.
Still dizzy with the images he’d put in her head, she grabbed a paper towel from the dispenser behind her and held it to the bleeding wound. A trickle of warmth ran down her arm and into her palm, and she covertly tucked another paper towel inside her coat sleeve. Then she entertained herself by watching Con’s fine ass hugged by black BDU pants. When he swiveled around back to her, she got a kick out of the way his gaze went to her bare thighs and black silk thong that was now damp with her arousal.
The longer he stared, the faster her heart beat, the more her belly fluttered.
The hotter it got inside the damned ambulance.
When his silver eyes finally snapped up, they’d darkened to a rich, smooth pewter, the hunger in them stark and undeniable, which was no surprise given what they’d just been talking about. For just a moment, she wondered if he’d act on his need…
