Well, after being away from home for a month for the medical emergency, I'm home. And I'm thrilled to report that everything turned out well, even though there were several scares.
Of course, as you can see from the picture, I managed to break myself while I was in Washington/Oregon with my parents. And get this, I did it at my CLASS REUNION. Yep, I'm the dork who went to the class reunion and fell on the dance floor.
I really hope there were no pictures…
So anyway, I did that last Saturday night. Went to the ER on Sunday for X-rays and ultimately, a cast for my broken arm. I also had a migraine from hell. Then I had to fly home Monday night. Can I just say that I DO NOT recommend flying with a broken arm.
It's funny though — the passengers in the airport and on the flights were MUCH more helpful than the airline personnel. Let's just say that I'm impressed with complete strangers in America, and I'm also looking forward to filling out a "How did we do?" survey for U.S. Airways. Ahem.
So…I'm home, typing one-handed and checking into speech-recognition software that can put my words on paper, since my typing has taken a hit.
Ooh, but in the pic above, did you notice the book? Yep, that was yesterday, and I was holding the best birthday present ever — the finished copy of Sin Undone that my awesome publisher sent me!
And hey, this is fun – check out the 4 Horsemen wine!!!! I just had to get a pic with it to celebrate finishing Eternal Rider, the first book in the Lords of Deliverance series. And mmm…it's tasty…
Hope everyone is well! Not long until Sin Undone now!

Can’t wait for Sin’s book!
I’ve broken the same arm before and I so feel your pain. On the bright side, your hair looks AWESOME.
(((Hugs Larissa)))
I’m glad you are home and I hope your wing heals swiftly. Congrats on Sin!!
You take care.

So looking forward to it.
Awww Larissa! I hope you’re feeling better and it is amazing how complete strangers are so much nicer than the flight personnel! Can’t wait for Sin Undone to release!
Hey – great to have you back Larissa and that everything went well at home . . . well, sort of – how many times have you been told about breakdancing?
Ooh – can’t wait for Sin, excitement level rising!
And I do have to say I love your hair – or was that from when you fell over on the dance floor and went headfirst into the punch?
Welcome home!
*snickers* No breakdancing or dunking my head in the punch…though I might have been tempted if it was wine instead!
your hair is amazing – i wanna do mine like that now.
sorry about the arm but thank god for kindness from strangers. hope it heals quickly for you
So happpy that the whole medical emergency is resolving and, you poor thing, I’m so sorry to hear about your broken arm! But you do have FABULOUS hair in that pic! The colours are gorgeous on you. Is it a recent pic because it doesn’t look like your arm is broken in that one? Have Sin Undone preordered and waiting for Tempting the Fire to arrive. Hope you are able to get some rest now.
Thank you!!!! The pic with the wine was taken the morning before I broke my arm. Yep, just hours later. Ugh!
Hope you like Tempting!!! I just sent revisions to Taken by Fire to my editor…I love it. I think it’s our best Sydney book yet!

I’m so happy to hear things are well at home.
Sorry you broke your arm though – looks like your thumb is in the cast too. What all did you break? Hope you jeal fast.
I love red wine so where do I get The Four Horsemen wine?
I love your hair too. And what a great BD present – Sin Undone. Can’t wait for my copy.
Hi Viki! Thank you!
I broke bones in my wrist and thumb, which is why my thumb is in the cast.
The Four Horsemen wine is so good! Here’s the link to the website:

So happy that everything is going well enough that you were able to come home.
The broken arm sucks. I hope it feels better soon!
Can’t wait to read Sin’s book!
Ditto what my delightful daughter Ayla said. :D
Oh and can I come by and steal the book?
Glad everyone is ok.
Sorry about your arm (OUCH!!). I’m the dork that wiped out on the dance floor the first time she met her soon to be husband’s family.
As for speech software. If you are a Windows user look at Dragon’s Naturally Speaking, If you are a Mac User, look at MacSpeech. I use Mac Speech and love it.
Best,
Lee
Great to have you back, Larissa. Sorry to hear about the arm, but the sling looks cool. I can’t wait to get a copy of Sin’s book.
Peace and love,
Paula R.
Glad you are back home and all is well despite the arm. Great way to get sympathy though and with that Fab hair, who can resist helping out.
Congrats on both books. Was the Four Horsemen wine a special promotion for your release or is it on the market?
Thank you! The wine is on the market from a winery called Ash Hollow, in Walla-Walla, Washington. I might need to buy a case of it!
Hope you’re feeling better and have a quick recovery. I’ve broken so many bones,it’s not even funny! Looking forward to the new book!!!!
((Larissa))
I am very glad to know things went well for (and with) your parents–and very sorry that you broke your arm, ouch!
Here’s hoping you find, asap, a voice recognition software that works for you, and that your arm heals soonest and without any issues.
horrifying reunion story! *hugs*
Glad fam is well!
Congrats on book…you deserve some wine. And yes 4 horse man is cool.
Looking forward to reading more from you!!
Thanks so much, everyone!!! Sorry I didn’t respond to every individual comment — my typing is slow and painful, so I just replied to anyone who had questions. But I appreciate all the comments! And for those where were wondering about the wine, here’s a link to the website:

Oh Larissa, I have a broke ankle myself… 60 days with the cast… I can’t even imagine flying with it.
Welcome home!
Sorry about the broken arm …wonder if there are pictures of you falling
Welcome home, Larissa.
That sux about your arm. Did you check youtube for the video yet? You’d probably see it there first, right?
Feel better!
Mina B
P.S. Love your hair & Congrats on Sin.
Larissa
So glad you are better. I can’t wait for Sin Undone – August 24th can’t get here fast enough. I LUV the hair!
I can’t wait for Sin’s book …counting the days.
Hope you’re on the mend soon.
So excited about Sin’s book, can’t wait. And I love your hair, it looks awesome on you. Hope everything gets better for you soon! Smiles!!!
Looks like a good wine. Are those trees behind you or two huge green horns??
Just finished SIN UNDONE, and I loved it. You nailed Sin’s character! Con was pretty hot too!!
I’m whining now,,, literally! I’m a spoilt brat, I want the book now! After seeing so many people read Advanced reader copies for their reviews I’m so jealous. Larissa, you have me sobbing here. I can’t wait one more day.
I work at a bookstore, and today was one of Those Days. My shoelace broke when I had to be on shift in five minutes. I discovered the hard way that the spigot was falling off a tub of nine quarts of coffee.
But then I got to spend my entire lunch break hidden in the stockroom with Sin and Con. I guess sometimes Those Days are good days too. Except now I have to wait for tomorrow to FINISH. Rrgh.
Bless your heart! I’ve never broken a bone but I’m sure it’s miserable.
Love the hair. I want the same with purple.I’m working up the courage to try it. My boss will probably have a fit.
I just finished Sin Undone and can only say that it was pure genious. It is simply amazing what you can do with words.
