I really, really didn't want to get up this morning and get my son ready for school.
Turns out, I could have stayed in bed.
I got up, made him waffles and eggs, some fruit, milk, his vitamins…basically, a nice, big breakfast. He then comes downstairs and informs me that he has "squeezle squirts." In other words…diarrhea. Clearly, I can't send him to school like that. So I've been pouring Pepto Bismol down his throat and waiting for it to stop so I can get him to school at some point.
Making Monday more fun — I go into his bathroom and step in a pool of water. The toilet is leaking. Naturally, my husband is gone until Friday. Things ONLY go wrong when he's gone.
So anyway, my Monday is off to a crappy start.
But hey, it isn't a total loss. Meljean Brook is holding a really great contest where the grand prizes totally rock, so head over there and enter her daily contests and the grand prize contest. My girls have a half day today and I’m not even sure why. How lame is that? I should be doing chores, but I can’t resist the lure of a quiet house on a Monday morning to do a little surfing.
Oh man, that sucks. Hope he feels better soon. I’m still chasing mice (and cleaning up after them). Hope the rest of your week is better.

But Tuesday was better…Wednesday, not so much. Nothing like waking at 5 AM because the batteries in the CO2 detector are low and screaming to tell you about it.
Sigh.
Ouch! I well understand that sentiment with three boys of my own and a husband that works from 6 pm to about 6 am. Everything goes wrong when he’s not there to fix it.
