Well, I made it home safe and sound! My mom bought my son and I upgrades on our plane tickets from Portland to Charlotte, so we got to fly first class. I was sick — really, really sick — but hey, being miserable in first class is better than being miserable in coach, right? ;-)
So once home, I spent the entire weekend working on copyedits for Desire Unchained (Demonica book 2.) Which i will show you the cover for soon. *g*
On Monday, I had to give a talk at the Chesapeake library about wacky weather, and thankfully Ann was there to hold my hand (and to put together the powerpoint presentation!) I was still sick, but I loaded up on meds to keep from losing my voice, coughing, or collapsing.
Yesterday, I spent the day working on revisions to Taming The Fire (ACRO book 4,) and talking to my editor about revisions to Pleasure Unleashed (Demonica book 3.)
Today, I'm working on revisions to both books, so this should be fun! :)
Hopefully, by this weekend, I'll have some RWA pics to share. My camera's batteries died, so I need to get them charged up so I can load up the pics.
How are you all doing? Keeping busy?

I hope you feel better soonest–and your mom’s gift of an upgrade was, if I may say, awesome and kind. Yes, being sick sucks, but having the leg room to at least turn sideways in the seat helps.
Me, I’m trying not to dissolve in a pool of quickly evaporating sweat–my 17+ years old A/C unit gave out last Friday, and between my home warranty company ordering the wrong unit, and the builder putting in the wrong breaker, I’ve been slightly screwed from both sides (yes, exactly as unpleasant as it sounds). At present, I’m on a holding pattern (A/C-less, of course) waiting to be told what happens next.
Oh well, I’ll do the Catholic thing, and offer my suffering for the redemption of the souls in purgatory
Larissa;
Glad you are on the mend. Strep is the worst!!! Doesn’t sound like you have had much opportunity to recoop. I’m sure all of your hard work will pay off. There has been lots of chatter about the sequels to PU over at Amazon. Lots of folks looking forward to the release of the next 2 books!!!
I’ve been enjoying chatting with all the folks at Write minded – thanks to you!
ROFL – OMG azteclady – funny how A/C’s always give out during a heat wave. Burning in purgatory sucks!!!
Larissa, hope you feel 100% soon. ;-)
Best Regards
Lea
Wow. You’re quite the busy little revision bee, aren’t you?
*hugs* Hope you feel better soon!
So sad….you being sick and me spelling my own name wrong in recent comments. I also love Oregon, I went up from Nevada once on a bus and drove back a truck I had bought up by Big Bear? It sounds right but that was 15 years ago…I’m not even capable of my first name anymore! LOL PS. Never take a bus…YUCK..EWWW!
Keep the demonica books coming!
I’m noticing a theme with these smileys
You’re amazing! So many projects on the go at once! I hope you’re back to full health soon.
Azteclady — UGH on the A/C! Hope it’s better now!
Lea, it’s been great having you over at Writeminded! :)
Thanks, Tori! I was much better until last night, when I had a bit of a relapse. Now one side of my throat hurts so bad I can hardly swallow. I’m SO sick of being sick!!!
Scarlet, the very idea of taking a bus makes me shudder! Funny on your name, though! LOL
LOL, Zoe! Yes, there’s a bit of a theme…
Thanks, Saskia! At least I’m done with the copyedits, and one set of revisions is going in today. So all I’m left with are the Passion Unleashed revisions. Yay!!!
